Mo Farah, the British Olympic and World 5000m and 10,000m champion, repeated Saturday that he will probably end his track career in 2017.
“2017, I’ll probably say will be my last track year,” Farah said in a press conference ahead of a Diamond League meet in Birmingham, Great Britain. “I love what I do, I enjoy it, but as I’m away so much, one thing really that I miss is my kids asking me questions. I’m away six months of the year, so I’m really there half of their lives.”
Farah has in recent years pointed to the 2017 World Championships in London as a potential end date for his track career, afterward switching to road racing and, specifically, marathons.
