Missy Franklin plans to live and train in her native Colorado up to the World Championships in August, having recently returned to longtime coach Todd Schmitz after finishing her sophomore year at California.
The five-time 2012 Olympic medalist swam in NCAA competition for the last time in March, turned professional following that season and recently completed her spring class schedule at California.
Franklin’s coach and base after the World Championships are to be determined, according to the Denver Post. The 20-year-old trained under Teri McKeever at California after enrolling in August 2013.
