Swimming superstar Missy Franklin entered the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro with five Olympic medals, but she failed to add to her illustrious collection in the women's 200-meter freestyle.
Franklin finished in eighth place in her semifinal heat Monday, per Pat Forde of Yahoo Sports. She posted a time of one minute, 57.56 seconds and was officially eliminated from the final after the completion of the second semifinal heat.
