Mikaela Shiffrin finished third in her last race of 2020, going a calendar year without a slalom win for the first time since 2011.
Shiffrin, who led by .02 after the first of two runs, ended up .57 behind Swiss winner Michelle Gisin. Gisin, the 2018 Olympic combined champion, earned her first World Cup win after more than 140 starts and nine prior podiums.
It marked the first time since January 2017 that a woman other than Shiffrin and Slovakian Petra Vlhova won a World Cup slalom — a streak of 28 races.
