Michael Phelps added to his incredible Olympic haul Tuesday, securing his 24th medal by winning gold in the 200-meter butterfly at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.
Phelps finished with a time of 1:53.36. It extended his record count of gold medals to 20 and atoned for a silver in the event in 2012.
Phelps also won gold in the event at the 2004 and 2008 Games. Darren Rovell of ESPN put the win in context:
