Shoes worn by Michael Jordan during the gold-medal game between the United States and Spain at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles sold for for $190,373 early Sunday, which set a new auction record for game-used sneakers.
Darren Rovell of ESPN.com reported the record-setting mark and passed along comments from SCP Auctions vice president Dan Imler about MJ's selling power.
"The record-shattering price proves that Michael Jordan has no equal in the marketplace for game-used basketball memorabilia," Imler said.
