Gymnast Maggie Nichols said she is about 97 percent healthy going into this weekend’s P&G Championships, her first meet since suffering a torn meniscus in training about three months ago.
Nichols said Wednesday that she is likely to compete on two of four events in St. Louis on Friday and Sunday — balance beam and uneveven bars — but there was a chance she could expand.
Nichols had a breakout at this meet last year, taking all-around silver behind Simone Biles.
