The Los Angeles 2024 Olympic bid includes an Olympic Village at UCLA, where athlete and team officials would stay, and a media village at the University of Southern California.
“The plan further reduces the costs and risks of hosting the Games, aligning closely with the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Agenda 2020 reforms that encourage cities to host sustainable and fiscally responsible Games,” LA 2024 said in a press release.
Los Angeles, hoping to bring the Olympics to the U.S. for the first time since 2002 (since 1996 for the Summer Games), is up against Budapest, Paris and Rome in the 2024 host city race.
