Lindsey Vonn wins No. 69, screams love for ‘Lake Lindsey’

Lindsey Vonn crossed the finish line at a course nicknamed “Lake Lindsey” with a one-second means and screamed.

“I love this place!” she yelled.

Vonn won her 69th career World Cup race and 17th at her favorite course in Lake Louise, Alberta, on Saturday. Swiss Fabienne Suter was second, 1.05 back, followed by Austrian Cornelia Huetter.

The four-time World Cup overall champion prevailed in a downhill for the second straight day. She has now won 17 times in 40 career starts at Lake Louise, extending her record for one skier at one venue.
