Lindsey Vonn wins in second race back from broken bones

It took two races for Lindsey Vonn to return to the winner’s circle in her latest comeback from injury, her most painful injury yet.

Vonn notched her 77th career World Cup victory, taking a downhill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, by .15 of a second on Saturday morning.

Vonn screamed repeatedly after crossing the finish line and seeing she was ahead of Swiss Lara Gut. She appeared emotional while she waited as skier after skier tried and failed to beat her time. Full results are here.

It marked her full return from two injuries — suffering three large fractures in her left knee in a Feb.
