Lindsey Vonn won’t win the gold medal in the Super-G. Italy’s Johanna Schnarf, the third skier down the mountain and the third-ranked Super-G racer in the world, edged Vonn by .22 seconds.
Lindsey Vonn nearly wiped out in the final stretch of her Super-G run but recovered to complete it in 1:21.49.
She was a favorite coming in — she is bigger than most other skiers and skis on the faster men’s skis.
