Nike didn't waste much time celebrating Kevin Durant becoming the all-time highest scorer in United States Olympic basketball history.
"There's a Reaper," Colorado football coach Deion Sanders narrated in a video released Tuesday. "And every four years, your time runs out. You might forget your debts, but he's ready to collect."
The comments are a reference to Durant's "Slim Reaper" nickname and come after the future Hall of Famer helped lead the Americans to a dominant 122-87 victory over Brazil in Tuesday's quarterfinal matchup at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Durant surpassed Lisa Leslie's record of 488 career Olympic points during the contest as he scored 11 points off the bench.
