MESA, Ariz. — At age six, Katie Ledecky wasn't yet Katie Ledecky
It wasn't yet obvious she'd someday shatter world records in multiple distance events by the time she finished high school.
It wasn't yet obvious that she'd be, a year out from the 2016 Olympics, the most dominant swimmer on the planet.
Back then, she was just a six-year-old girl in the midst of falling in love with the sport of swimming.
When she went to watch a national championship meet at the University of Maryland, she stayed afterwards and nabbed a few autographs.
