Justin Gatlin drug tested 62 times in 2015, report says

Justin Gatlin has been drug tested 62 times this year, an average of about once every four days, his agent said, according to the Independent.

“It’s ridiculous,” agent and former 110m hurdles world-record holder Renaldo Nehemiah said, according to the report, “but he’s a targeted profile and that’s fine.”

Nehemiah hasn’t responded to a confirmation request, but it’s no surprise Gatlin is tested often, given he’s five years removed from a four-year doping ban.

Olympic medalists and athletes who perform well at national and international competitions, two boxes Gatlin ticks off, are also tested more than those who do not fit that criteria.
