Jordan Burroughs on cusp of legend status in USA Wrestling

Jordan Burroughs was 22, still a senior at Nebraska, when he walked into a bank five years ago carrying the first prize of his professional life.

He set his paycheck for winning the U.S. Open in front of the teller, asked for cash and walked out with $3,000 in his pocket.

“That was the most money I had ever had in my entire life at one time,” he said. “I was so excited I spread it out on my bed and looked at it and I was like, ‘Man, I just made $3,000. This is what can happen for me just winning in wrestling.
