Paralympic champions Jonnie Peacock and David Weir were denied triumphant returns to the Olympic Stadium.
Amputee sprinter Peacock was beaten in the T44 100 metres by American Richard Browne, who claimed victory in 10.96 seconds. The Briton was second in 11.02sec.
Wheelchair racer Weir, who won three golds on the same track in 2012, had to settle for fifth in the T54 1500m in 3:04.80 as Switzerland’s Marcel Hug took the win.
A crowd of 20,000 saw the final day of the Anniversary Games, which also featured wins for Paralympic champions Hannah Cockroft in the T34 400m and Richard Whitehead in the T42 200m.
