Olympic champion Jamie Anderson kept her X Games medal streak alive, finishing second in snowboard slopestyle about two months after breaking her collarbone.
Anderson, 25, improved from fifth place to second in her final run, despite putting her hands on the snow on one landing in Aspen, Colo., on Friday. She’s entered 10 X Games slopestyle competitions and finished in the top three in all of them.
Anderson scored 89 points, two points behind Spencer O’Brien, the Canadian who took her first title in her 10th X Games appearance.
“Ever since I was a little girl, this is all I wanted,” O’Brien, who finished 12th at the Olympics, told ESPN while in tears.
