IOC President 'very confident in response to Zika

PALO ALTO, Calif. – As Brazil has become ground zero for the fight against the Zika virus, International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach said he is confident in the steps taken by the World Health Organization and local organizers to address the outbreak.

Speaking to USA TODAY Sports after visiting LA 2024 organizers, as well as tech companies in Silicon Valley, Bach said the IOC is “very confident” in how the spread of the virus is being addressed for a variety of reasons.
