SYDNEY (AP) — The Australian Anti-Doping Agency, Indian National Anti-Doping Agency and WADA have signed a two-year memorandum of understanding to help improve India's national anti-doping program.
The World Anti-Doping Agency said Tuesday that the joint agreement would "ensure India implements a more effective anti-doping program that is fully compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code."
Indian anti-doping chief Navin Agarwal says "we fully recognize some of the shortcomings our program has had in the past, and that is why we will cooperate wholeheartedly with ASADA and WADA to ensure that we make the changes needed and, in doing so, give athletes full confidence in the Indian anti-doping system.
