Canadian show jumper Ian Millar, who competed in a record 10 Olympics, will not be going to an 11th in Rio.

The Canadian equestrian team was announced Thursday, and it does not include the 69-year-old known as “Captain Canada.”

Millar competed in every Olympics from 1972 through 2012 (minus the boycotted Moscow 1980 Games), earning one medal, a team silver at Beijing 2008.

His Rio hopes were doomed in June, when it was announced that his primary horse, Dixson, had undergone sinus surgeries and would be unavailable for Rio.

There is another Millar on the Canadian Olympic show jumping team.
