The World Figure Skating Championships continue Thursday with the women’s short program and free dance, live on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra starting at 4 p.m. ET.
In the women’s short program, U.S. Olympians Gracie Gold, Ashley Wagner and Mirai Nagasu look to take their first steps toward the first U.S. women’s medal at Worlds or the Olympics since 2006.
It’s the largest drought in the Winter Olympic era.
They’ll go up against the favorites from Russia (Grand Prix Final champion Yevgenia Medvedeva and 2015 World bronze medalist Yelena Radionova) and Japan (three-time World champion Mao Asada and 2015 World silver medalist Satoko Miyahara).
