U.S. wrestler Helen Maroulis won her third consecutive gold medal at the world championships or Olympics, with a victory at worlds in Paris on Wednesday.
She beat Olympic bronze medalist Marwa Amri of Tunisia in the finals of the 58-kilogram/128-pound weight class with an 11-0 technical fall.
Maroulis had one of the most dominant performances in American history, not allowing a single point in five matches while earning five technical falls with a combined 52-0 score.
“I felt great. I reminded myself that I love this and I was healthy for another year," she said in a USA Wrestling release.
