Having already won gold medals in the team and individual sprint events in Rio, Great Britain cyclist Jason Kenny added a third Olympic gold medal Tuesday.
Kenny took gold in the keirin competition, beating Matthijs Buchli in a competition that included two false starts. Now with seven Olympic medals in his career, with six being gold, Kenny is tied with Sir Chris Hoy for the most Olympic medals won by a British cyclist. Of the 30 medals awarded in cycling at the Rio Olympics, Great Britain won 11 of them. Earlier Tuesday Laura Trott, Kenny’s fiancèe, took gold in the women’s omnium.
