After winning the team dressage event in five consecutive Summer Olympics, Germany saw that streak come to an end in London at the hands of Great Britain. Friday, Isabell Werth and her teammates reclaimed the gold medal with a score of 82.577. Great Britain, whose gold at the last Summer Olympics was their first medal in team dressage, claimed silver and the United States took bronze.
Laura Graves, Steffen Peters, Kasey Perry-Glass (her score wasn’t counted) and Allison Brock combined to earn the United States’ first medal in this event since 2004, when they took bronze in Athens.
