MORZINE, France (AP) — Overall leader Chris Froome is wearing bandages on his right knee and elbow as the penultimate stage of the Tour de France gets underway Saturday.
Froome crashed on a slippery descent a day earlier but still has a comfortable lead of 4 minutes, 11 seconds over Frenchman Romain Bardet.
Froome says "Hopefully I can get through today without any problem."
Stage 20 is a 146.5-kilometer (91-mile) leg from Megeve to Morzine with four climbs, including the beyond-category Col de Joux Plane, which is followed by a long descent to Morzine.
A minute of silence was held at the start of the stage to mourn the nine victims of Friday's shooting in Munich.
