LE LIORAN, France (AP) — The first mountain stage of the Tour de France is underway.
World champion Peter Sagan is wearing the yellow jersey for a third straight day but the Slovak could have a tough time protecting his overall lead in the fifth leg, a 216-kilometer route from Limoges to Le Lioran in the Massif Central.
The stage features five climbs in a constant up-and-down finish that could suit defending champion Chris Froome.
The sky was clear at the start with warm temperatures.
