IGLS, Austria (AP) — American luger Erin Hamlin won the women’s sprint world title on Friday for her second career gold medal.
Hamlin beat defending champion Martina Kocher of Switzerland by 0.009 seconds, while Tatjana Huefner of Germany came 0.010 back in third to take the bronze.
Hamlin won the women’s single race eight years ago at the worlds in Lake Placid. She also took bronze at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
The sprint doubles race was scheduled for later Friday.
