Olympic all-around bronze medalist Danell Leyva‘s quest for gold in Rio led him to make significant changes.
Though Leyva had to pull out of the 2013 World Championships, he made last year’s roster and won team bronze and parallel bars silver medals in Nanning, China.
This year, Leyva wasn’t at his best at the P&G Championships, but he still made his fifth Worlds team, tying the record for an American man with John Roethlisberger and Jonathan Horton. He’ll compete with Team USA in Glasgow, Scotland, the last week of October.
