Olympic 100m butterfly champion Dana Vollmer is entered in a swim meet this week, which could mark her first competition since the 2013 World Championships and the March 6 birth of her son.
Vollmer’s name appears on the 100m butterfly entry list for the Los Angeles Invitational from Thursday through Sunday.
Vollmer, 27 and a four-time Olympic champion, said on June 20 that she hadn’t retired despite her lengthy competition absence and had been back in the water for one and a half months.
“I hated when I saw the rumors that I actually retired,” Vollmer said on Universal Sports at a Pro Swim Series meet in Santa Clara, Calif.
