French designer Christian Louboutin will be part of the Cuban national team's look for the Rio Olympics.
A collaboration between Louboutin and the French online retailer, SportyHenri.com, was announced Thursday to supply uniforms for the Cuban delegation. The uniforms will be worn for the closing ceremony and other formal events, according to a news release.
Louboutin, known for his red sole luxury shoes, is one of several designers to get involved with national teams for the Olympics. Ralph Lauren is the designer for the U.S. Olympic team. Stella McCartney works with the British team. The Louboutin designs will not be sold.
