Bode Miller, whose six Olympic medals make him the most decorated U.S. skier in history, says he could have won more than just one bronze at the 2014 Sochi Olympics if not for the venue.
Miller has retired from competition and will work for NBC in February at the Olympics Games in Pyeongchang. He told Colorado Politics recently that the IOC's decision to have the Games in Sochi, where the mountains are located about 30 miles from the coastal resort area, hurt his medal chances.
"2014 cost me three medals because the Olympics were in Sochi, which is basically in a tropical area," he said in the story published in the Colorado Springs Gazette.
