A group of anti-doping leaders has called on the International Olympic Committee to ban Russia from competing in the Pyeongchang Olympics.
Leaders from 17 National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) held a fourth meeting since the Rio Olympics this week, announcing after the two-day event in Denver that the Russia should be banned based on a state-run doping system revealed in two investigations and its “continuing failure in its obligations to clean sport.”
“The IOC needs to stop kicking the can down the road and immediately issue meaningful consequences,” NADO leaders said in a statement.
