Allyson Felix (ankle) out of Prefontaine Classic

Allyson Felix will miss the Prefontaine Classic on Saturday due to a right ankle sprain suffered five weeks ago but could be ready to race in “a week to 10 days,” her coach said Tuesday, according to Reuters.

“She’s good, and her training session today was a heck of a session,” coach Bob Kersee said, according to the report. “Things are going well, and they have no concern about her being prepared by the Olympic Trials.”

The Olympic Trials are July 1-10 in Eugene, Ore., where Felix is still expected to race the 200m and 400m, hoping to make the U.
