Kristi Yamaguchi will always be remembered for the grace and elegance she brought the world in her gold-medal-winning skating routines at the 1992 Winter Games in Albertville, France.
As the 30-year anniversary of her triumph nears, Yamaguchi will again reunite with that defining showing.
She’ll do so as an accomplished woman who just turned 50 in July, raising two high-school-aged daughters, having recently celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary all while heading her life-changing children’s literacy foundation, “Always Dream.”
“When you’re 20 years old at the Olympics, you need to find a way to something else," Yamaguchi said.
