Swimming’s world governing body, FINA, has banned seven Russian competitors from taking part in the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro over allegations of doping.
News of the decision came via Agence France-Presse on Monday:

On Sunday, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) opted not to issue a full ban on competitors from Russia taking part in the Games in the aftermath of a report that suggested there was a state-sponsored doping program in place in the country between 2011 and 2015, per BBC Sport.
