PYEONGCHANG, South Korea — Mikaela Shiffrin said she can’t help clear up the mystery of whether Ester Ledecka used Shiffrin’s skis when the Czech Republic athlete pulled off a stunning victory last week in the Super-G at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
“We actually really don’t know if they were (mine) or not,’’ Shriffin, the American ski racer, told USA TODAY Sports Monday after completing a training run on the Alpine downhill course. “I haven’t got confirmation.’’
Shiffrin, who skipped the Super-G event after weather delays early in the Games compressed her schedule, downplayed the impact of Ledecka’s potentially having used Shiffrin’s skis.
