The Olympic diving pool was closed Friday morning in an effort to solve the issue of green water that has persisted throughout the 2016 Rio Games.
The announcement was made via Rio 2016 on Twitter in response to British diver Tom Daley:
@TomDaley1994 As approved by @fina1908, diving training is cancelled b/c the water must be still for the pool to return to its blue color.

Per Tom Steinfort of 9 News Australia, the conditions have been difficult for the divers to handle thus far:
The Olympic diving pool has been closed again because of water quality issues.
