WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Notching their third-straight win, the Old Dominion (6-1) women's basketball team took down William & Mary (6-2) on the road Thursday night, 69-58. Sophomore Mariah Adams matched her career-high 13 points, going six-for-six from the free throw line.
"I was surprised by our turnovers and we need to do a better job of taking care of the basketball, said head coach Nikki McCray. "We have to be better as a team, individually as well."
The Monarchs outscored William & Mary by 10 to open the first quarter. Sophomore Ajah Wayne scored eight of those 10 points.
