DADE CITY, Fla. – The Old Dominion women's golf team shot a 7-over 295 and sits in seventh after the opening day of the Conference USA Championship at Lake Jovita Golf Club on Monday. Two Monarchs in Jana Melichova and Leah Onosato are in the top-five on the individual leaderboard after firing a pair of opening round 3-under 69s.
Round two play was suspended midway through due to darkness.
"We are just at the halfway point of the championship and there is a lot of great golf still to be played," ODU head coach Mallory Hetzel said.
