Will Morgan hit three homers and Old Dominion finished with five to outslug Kansas State 11-8, salvaging the final game of a nonconference baseball series Sunday at the Bud Metheny Complex.
Morgan collected four RBIs and became the fifth player in ODU history to hit three homers in a game.
"It was pretty awesome," the junior outfielder from Middletown, N.J., said. "I was working hard in BP today to just try and be short to the ball and it ended up working out for me."
The Monarchs (3-4), who fell 11-3 and 11-5 in the first two games of the series, broke out with their season high in runs and hits (14).
