NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion women's basketball junior Ajah Wayne was named Conference USA Player of the Week as Presented by Surf & Turf Golf.
Wayne earned her first weekly honor of the season after a solid two-game performance against Florida Atlantic on the road, where she compiled back-to-back double-doubles, helping lead ODU to two-straight victories and back into the win column. The Birmingham, Alabama native shot 53 percent (17-of-32) and compiled a season-high three steals on Jan. 9. Overall, Wayne grabbed 26 boards at FAU, which moved her up into the third spot in the league in the rebounding department and 25th in the nation, now averaging 10.
