NORFOLK, Va. - For the third time this season, Old Dominion sophomore Ajah Wayne has been named Conference USA Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Wayne earned her third C-USA Player of the Week accolade after a solid two-game stretch at home last week. The Birmingham, Alabama native totaled 34 points in two games, which was highlighted by her 21 point performance in the monumental win over Rice, which snapped its 30 conference game win streak.
Against Rice, Wayne shot 53 percent from the field, recording 21 points to help lead the Monarchs to the top spot in the league.
