Vinnie Pasquantino went 6 for 6 with a home run and five RBIs as Old Dominion routed VMI 19-4 in a nonconference baseball game Wednesday at the Bud Metheny Complex.
The Monarchs (7-9) collected 24 hits, their most in nine years. Their 19 runs were the most since 2014.
Pasquantino matched a school record with his six hits. Among them were his third homer of the season and two doubles.
ODU starter Hunter Gregory (2-2) allowed one run on three hits in five innings to pick up the victory.
The Monarchs busted the game open with an 11-run fourth inning.
