Tinneny Finishes Sets ODU Record in 1650 Freestyle at Conference USA Championship

ATLANTA – Jacqueline Tinneny set an Old Dominion University swimming record in the 1650 freestyle and Jacklyn VandePoel took third in the 200 backstroke to lead the Monarchs in the final day of the Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championship.

Tinneny's record-setting swim in the 1650 freestyle placed her second with a time of 16:41.97. Elin Kata Sigurgeirsdottir placed eighth with a time of 17:19.53, while Brynn Jewell finished in 10th with a time of 17:21.35.

VandePoel placed third in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:58.
