NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (9-3-4, 3-3-2 C-USA) scored three second half goals to take down UTSA (7-7-1, 3-5-0 CUSA) by a 3-0 score on Thursday night at the ODU Soccer Complex. With the victory, the Monarchs extended their unbeaten streak to five. Old Dominion outshot the Roadrunners 24-4 for the match.
Allie Brimmer broke the 0-0 deadlock in the 53rd minute off an assist from Ece Turkoglu to give the Monarchs a 1-0 lead. The goal was Brimmer’s third of the season.
Less than seven minutes later in the 60th minute, Kyra Ricks drilled a shot into the back of the Roadrunners net off a pass from Amanda Nhek, doubling ODU’s lead to 2-0.
