NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The football season may be five months away, but there will be gridiron action at Old Dominion University for the 48th annual Charity Bowl.
The Charity Bowl is a fun flag football game that’s played at Ballard Stadium, home of Monarch football.
Players making appearances include the likes of NFL Hall of Famer Bruce Smith and former NFL players from Hampton Roads, DJ Dozier and Aaron Rouse. Also current NFL players Don Cary of the Lions, Darrell Tapp of the Vikings and former ODU Quarterback Taylor Heinicke, who also plays for the Vikings.
