NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s tennis team (4-2) outlasted ETSU (3-2) by a 4-3 score on Sunday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. The Tennis Monarchs are now 4-0 when playing on their home courts.
“What a fantastic dual match,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “ETSU brought their A game today and pushed us all the way until the end. I’m so proud to see Jannik and Oliver staying composed and finishing out their final sets. I couldn’t be more excited about the future of this team. Beating two high quality teams 4-3 after losing the doubles point is a great sign of character and spirit for any team, especially a young one like ours.
