NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s tennis team (3-2) overcame a 1-0 and 2-1 deficit to hand Princeton (2-1) its first loss of the season by a 4-3 score on Friday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. The Monarchs clinched the victory with a 4-2 score.
“I couldn’t be more proud of this team today,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “After having a tough weekend and falling behind by losing the doubles point, they showed amazing character. Princeton has an amazingly talented team and we kept pushing and got rewarded for it. I’m so happy for Nicola and Oliver to serve out critical matches, which they couldn’t do last weekend.
