In 10 seasons as Old Dominion’s football coach, Bobby Wilder has changed his starting quarterback 12 times. No matter the cause – injury, performance or discipline – the aftershocks are jarring.
“It’s basically like changing the philosophy of your program,” Wilder said.
Just five weeks into this college football season, it’s difficult to overstate the prevalence of quarterback drama and the value of depth at the position.
