ATHENS, Ga. | Old Dominion’s Reed Mathews set conference meet and school records in winning the 200-yard butterfly Saturday night at the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association swimming championship.
Mathews bettered the meet mark by almost four seconds, recording an NCAA B-cut time of 1:43.04.
The Monarchs finished third as a team with 1,255.5 points, behind Maryland Baltimore County (1,502) and Incarnate Word (1,281).
ODU’s Anton Mikaelsson added a third-place finish in the 200 backstroke in 1:47.45.
